Tata Tiago XT(O) Variant Launched In India; Priced at Rs. 5.48 Lakh

- Tata Motors has introduced a new XT(O) trim in the Tiago's lineup
- The new variant is priced at Rs. 5.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
- It is powered by the same 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine
Tata Motors has silently added a new variant to the Tiago hatchback line-up. The new XT(O) variant is priced at Rs. 5.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Based on the XT trim, the new variant will be available with only a manual transmission as per the details listed on the official website. Moreover, it is positioned in between the base XE and mid XT trims. We have reached out to the company for an official statement, however, at the time of publishing this story, our email sent to Tata Motors remained unanswered.

Tata Motors has updated the Tiago line-up by adding a new XT(O) trim
Compared to the XE trim, the new XT(O) variant is costlier by Rs. 47,900. It gets features like body-coloured door ORVMs with LED turn indicator, body-coloured door handles, 14-inch steel rims, premium piano black finish on steering wheel, interior lamps, piano black finish around infotainment system, speed-sensing auto door lock, day & night IRVM, electrically adjustable ORVMs, four speakers, keyless entry, front and rear power windows, steering mounted controls and more.
The new variant is around Rs. 15,000 cheaper than the XT trim. But misses out on the key features such as ConnectNext infotainment by Harman, AM/FM, Bluetooth connectivity, speed-dependent volume control, and rear parking camera.

The Tata Tiago XT(O) variant sits between the entry-level XE and XT trims.

Mechanically, the new XT(O) variant of the Tiago is powered by the same BS6-compliant 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine. The mill is capable of producing a maximum of 85 bhp and a peak torque of 113 Nm. The engine comes paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
