Dr Anish Shah Appointed MD And CEO Of Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd

- Dr Anish Shah appointed as MD & CEO, M&M Ltd
- He is currently serving as deputy MD and group CFO
- He will have complete oversight on all Mahindra Group businesses
Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd appoints Dr Anish Shah as its new MD and CEO, with effect from April 2, 2021. Dr Shah is currently serving as the deputy managing director and the group chief financial officer for the company. He replaces Dr Pawan Goenka, who will retire as MD and CEO and as a member, board of directors, M&M Ltd on April 2, 2021. Dr Goenka had a 27-year run with Mahindra and had the oversight of the auto and farm equipment sectors. These will now be headed by Rajesh Jejurikar, who will report to Dr Shah. This is the first time in the history of the company that an MD and CEO will have complete oversight and responsibility for the Mahindra Group businesses.

Dr. Anish Shah is currently the Deputy Managing Director and Group CFO for the Mahindra Group. He joined Mahindra in 2015 as the Group President - Strategy, where he led strategy development; built capabilities such as digitisation and data sciences; enabled synergies across Group companies and managed the Risk and performance review organisations. Prior to joining Mahindra, Dr Shah was President and CEO of GE Capital India, where he led the transformation of the business, including a turnaround of its SBI Card joint venture. His career at GE spanned 14 years.
Dr Shah received a Ph.D from Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business, a Masters' degree from Carnegie Mellon and a post-graduate diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
