Mahindra Bolero City Pik-Up Launched; Priced At Rs 7.97 lakh

- Bolero City Pik-Up has a payload capacity of 1,500 kg
- Familiar 2.5-litre m2DI engine develops 75 bhp and 195 Nm
- Mahindra claims the pick-up will deliver 17.2 kmpl
Mahindra has expanded its Bolero Pik-Up range with the introduction of a new City variant. Priced at Rs 7.97 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), the Bolero City Pik-Up comes with a payload capacity of 1,500 kg with Mahindra claiming several best in class features for the new pick-up truck. Mahindra says that the Bolero City has a shorter bonnet as compared to its siblings allowing for greater manoeuvrability in narrow and crowded streets. The company says it is targeting a mix of small and medium scale businessmen along with last-mile delivery services and stand operators with the new variant.

Mahindra says the Bolero City Pik-Up has a payload capacity of 1,500 kg.
Speaking on this occasion, Harish Lalchandani, VP-Marketing, Mahindra Automotive said, “Our deep focus on customer centricity and market insights has enabled us to develop products that are relevant and most suited for the versatile needs of our discerning customers. We are pleased to offer another addition to our hugely successful Bolero Pik-up range – the New Bolero City Pik-Up highly suited for intracity transportation.”

Bolero City Pik-Up gets a wider co-driver seat as compared to other variants.
The Bolero City is powered by Mahindra long-running 2.5-litre m2Di diesel engine pushing out 65 bhp and 195 Nm of torque. Compared to its siblings, the City is the least powerful model on paper with the Extra Long and Extra Strong developing a stronger 75 bhp and 200 Nm. The trade-off though is the fuel economy with Mahindra claiming a segment-leading 17.2 kmpl.
Mahindra says it has made some tweaks inside the cabin to the new Bolero City including giving it a wider co-driver seat.
The Bolero City Pik-Up will come with a 3 year / 1 lakh km warranty as standard with the company claiming maintenance costs to be minimal.
