Mahindra Forays Into Construction Equipment Sector With RoadMaster G75

Mahindra has announced its foray into the construction equipment business with the launch of its first motor grader - Mahindra RoadMaster G75. The company's new offering targeted at road contractors is being manufactured at the Chakan facility in Pune, and has been developed in-house for Indian conditions with the help of customer feedback. The Indian UV giant says its new motor grader comes with the latest systems and relevant features, all available at competitive prices.
Speaking about the launch, Mahindra - President Automotive Sector, Rajan Wadhera said, "In line with Mahindra's vision to provide disruptive products and services for our customers, today we have entered into the fast growing road construction equipment segment with the launch of Motor Grader, the Mahindra RoadMaster G75. This product has been designed and developed in India after an in-depth understanding of the needs of the road contractor fraternity. Our aim is to liberate them from deployment of various sub-optimal methods with limited mechanization and thereby improve their productivity."

Mahindra says the RoadMaster G75 is most suitable for constructing small to medium roads as well as widening of state and national highways. It is also said to be apt for applications such as embankment or earthwork for laying of railway tracks and leveling of large plots for industrial construction. The G75 is powered by a 78 bhp iDTEC engine developed by the automaker. The motor grader comes with a 10 feet wide blade, which the company says has been optimised to deliver zero compromise grading at 33 per cent over conventional alternatives.
Mahindra says the RoadMaster G75 has undergone over 6000 hours of rigorous testing across harshest terrains for a variety of applications. In addition, the automaker is offering its telematics technology - DigiSENSE on the motor grader for better feedback on the model for its owners. In a bid to keep the ownership hassle free, the company is offering a one year, unlimited hours warranty on the RoadMaster G75.
The automaker says its new equipment will help contractors during grading needs for government programs like the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yogna and Smart City, as well as for major district roads, other district roads, border roads, rural roads and expansion of roads.
