Mahindra Launches Yuvo Range of Tractors
Mahindra has managed to maintain a market share of 41 per cent in the domestic tractor industry even when 2015 was a sluggish year. Last financial year there were close to 5 lakh tractor units sold in the domestic market which is expected to grow by 10 per cent in FY16-17.
The company has invested over Rs. 300 crore towards the development of this new platform on which the Yuvo tractors are based. The tractors will roll out from company's Zaherabad plant in Telangana state. The tractor claims to address over 30 plus applications, with torque starting from 168.4 Nm and a lifting capacity of 1500 kg.
Talking to NDTV Dr.Pawan Goenka, Executive Director, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, "The Yuvo range of tractors is developed at our state of art R&D facility, Mahindra research valley at Chennai and has set a new benchmark in pioneering new technology and providing huge value to customers."
The company will also be exporting the Yuvo range to its current export markets.
