Mahindra XEV 9s Launched: In Pictures

Mahindra has launched its third offering in the Electric Origin lineup. Called the XEV 9s, it’s a three-row electric SUV which comes after the XEV 9e and BE 6, and it's priced between Rs 19.95 lakh and Rs 29.45 lakh across four variants. Let us take a look at it in finer detail in pictures.

First up, the dimensions and the XEV 9s measure close to the XUV700, being almost the same height (1,745 mm) but with a marginally longer 2,762 mm wheelbase

Upfront, there’s the familiar XEV 9e fascia, but in profile, it has a flat roofline with an XUV700-like silhouette. It sits on newly designed 18-inch alloy wheels.
It’s at the back where the similarity with the XUV700 is the most prominent. It has a similar lighting bar, with a different lighting signature. And sculpted bumper and spoiler.

Being a three-row SUV, it has a boot space of up to 527 litres (with the third row folded), while the frunk is capped at 150 litres. The ground clearance is 205 mm.
On the inside, its familiarity with the 9e continues with the exact same dashboard, seats, and centre console layout. However, the sunroof is not fixed as on the 9e.

It has electric Boss mode for front seats and a flat floor for the second row. The third row has manual folding with dedicated air vents and cup holders for two seats.
Based on the INGLO platform, the 9s comes with two familiar battery options - 59 kWh and 79 kWh. However, there is a new battery available on Pack Two Above of 70 kWh.

Power remains the same at 228/282 bhp (depending on the variant) and 380Nm. The 0-100 kmph claimed times are 7.9sec for the 228bhp, and 7.0sec for the 282bhp guise.
The Pack Two Above is priced between Rs 24.45 lakh (70 kWh) and Rs 25.45 lakh (79 kWh), the Pack Three at Rs 27.35 lakh, and lastly the Pack Three Above is priced at Rs 29.45 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
