Maruti Suzuki has launched the new-generation Celerio hatchback in India, priced at Rs. 4.99 lakh to Rs. 6.94 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Celerio brand has received a generation upgrade in India after seven years, and Maruti has gone for a complete overhaul. A new platform, new design, new styling, improved features and a new, more fuel-efficient petrol engine as well. In fact, the new Celerio returns a mileage of 26.68 kmpl, making it the most fuel-efficient petrol car in the country. Now, the Celerio comes in four key variants - LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+, and the latter three also AGS/AMT options. Here's a brief overview of what these variants have to offer.

New-Gen Maruti Suzuki Celerio has been launched in India, priced at Rs. 4.99 lakh to Rs. 6.94 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Maruti Suzuki Celerio - LXI
The Celerio is one of the entry-level models for Maruti, so the base variant with pretty much barebones. Exterior features include body-coloured bumpers, chrome accents on the grille, halogen headlights with indicators, and 14-inch steel wheels with a hub cap. The cabin gets fixed headrests, a manual air-con system, pollen filter, power steering, and accessory socket. The instrument cluster gives fuel-efficiency reading, distance to empty, gear shift indicator, headlamp, door ajar, and low fuel warnings, and key off / headlamp on reminders. In terms of safety features, the car gets dual front airbags, front seatbelt reminder, ABS with EBD, front seatbelt pretensioner and load limiter, headlight levelling, reverse parking sensor, high-speed warning, and child-proof rear door lock. The LXI trim also gets the Idle start-stop tech.

Maruti Suzuki Celerio - VXI
In addition to the features offered with the LXI trim, the VXI variant comes with features like body-coloured ORVMs and door handles, and a full wheel cover. The cabin, at the same time, comes with a sun visor with vanity mirror for the front passenger, day & night IRVM, 60:40 split rear seat, rear parcel shelf. This trim also gets all 4 power windows with an auto-down function for the driver, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and silver-painted dials. In terms of safety, the car gets - central locking, speed-sensitive auto door locks, and impact sensing door unlock function.

The new top-end Maruti Suzuki Celerio come with 15-inch alloy wheels and electrically operable ORVMs
Maruti Suzuki Celerio - ZXI
Over and above what the VXI trim offers, the ZXI variant gets ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. Inside, the car additionally gets SmartPlay Dock with USB, FM, AUX, and Bluetooth connectivity, 4 speakers, remote keyless entry, and a security system. The car also gets a tachometer, tilt-adjustable steering wheel, rear wiper & washer, and rear defogger.

The top-end ZXI+ trim of the Celerio also gets a 7-inch SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Maruti Suzuki Celerio - ZXI+
In addition to the features offered with the ZXI trim, the ZXI+ variant gets front foglamps, blacked-out B-Pillar, 15-inch alloy wheels, a height-adjustable driver seat, and a 7-inch SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car also gets an engine start/stop button, electrically foldable ORVMs, and steering mounted controls for audio and telephony. The ZXI+ AGS trim also gets hill-hold assist.
