Maruti Swift 'Windsong' Special Edition Launched; Priced at Rs 5.14 Lakh

First unveiled at the Windsong Music Festival in Lonavala, Maharashtra in November 2014, the special edition Swift Windsong has now been officially launched in India. The special edition model gets slightly different exteriors and interiors along with new features. Available in both petrol and diesel fuel options, the petrol version of the Swift Windsong edition VXi is priced at Rs. 5.14 lakh and the diesel VDi version is tagged at Rs. 6.1 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The exteriors of the Maruti Swift Windsong special edition gets 'Windsong' badging and decals, front and rear mud flaps and an arctic white rear upper spoiler, etc. The interiors of the car features new upholstery for seats, new steering wheel cover, ambient lighting, illuminated sill guards and PVC floor mats. The name itself suggests that the vehicle is equipped with advanced infotainment system. The special edition model is equipped with a Sony touchscreen music system that consist of CD, DVD players, Bluetooth and USB. It also has an integrated reversing camera with parking sensors.

Under the bonnet, the Swift Windsong special edition gets the same engine lineup. The gasoline version of the car is propelled by the 1.2-litre K-Series engine, while the oil burner is the tried & trusted Fiat sourced 1.3-litre multi-jet unit. Power is transmitted to the front wheels of the hatchback via a five-speed manual transmission gearbox.
