- Tata currently holds a 70% market share in the electric vehicle segment
- Tata plans to bring more EVs in the future, notably the Altroz EV
Tata Motors has achieved a new milestone of retailing 10,000 electric vehicles to customers in the country. The company said that the first 10,000 EVs have been led by early adopters. And the encouragement is helping the automaker build a viable roadmap for the future. The automaker currently holds an impressive 70 per cent market share in the EV segment in FY2022. The sales figure though not only includes private buyers but fleet operators as well. At present, Tata retails the Nexon EV and the Tigor EV for private customers, while the Tigor-based Xpres-T is sold to fleet operators.
