Hyundai Creta Set to Cross 80,000-Unit Sales Mark in India Soon

- Hyundai Creta was launched in India in July, 2015
- It received over 1 lakh bookings milestone in 8 months since its launch
- 78,857 units of the Creta had been sold till May, 2016
While the Hyundai Creta is raking in the numbers, its sales have invariably led to an ample waiting period. Though it somewhat alludes to the SUV's success in the country, certain Hyundai Creta variants are currently commanding a waiting period of over 6 months. With that said, Hyundai, which currently produces 10,000 units of the car every month, is rumoured to be gearing up to ramp up the Creta's production by 20 per cent.

(Hyundai Creta bagged over 1 lakh bookings in just 8 months since its launch)
Hyundai Creta comes powered by three engine options: the 128bhp 1.6-litre Gamma VTVT petrol, the 89bhp 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel, and the 121bhp 1.6-litre CRDi diesel. Though Hyundai Creta was initially offered with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic albeit only with the 1.6-litre diesel, a petrol automatic variant was added to the line-up earlier this year.
In terms of design, the Creta features the Korean automaker's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design tenet, further highlighted by the head-lamps, front grille, rising waistline, and tail-lights. It also gets 'outstanding' NVH levels, thanks to the use of high grade insulation material, improved engineering, and design of the engine, transmission, and body structure.
