The 390 Adventure and Adventure X are two derivatives of KTM’s 390 ADV series, with the former designed for more off-road prowess and the latter more focused on touring. The two motorcycles share the same chassis, engine and drivetrain, with key differences coming down to the features and hardware.
Focusing on the hardware, both bikes get a WP Apex USD fork up front with 200 mm of travel and a WP Apex mono shock with 205 mm of travel at the rear. The Adventure, however, gets fully adjustable units compared to just pre-load adjustment offered on the Adventure X. The Adventure also gets spoke wheels to the Adventure X’s alloy units and also gets a larger 21-inch front wheel to the X’s 19-inch. Both get a 17-inch rear wheel. The Adventure X also gets a lower ground clearance and a 5 mm lower seat height over the standard Adventure.
