Mahindra XUV700 Gets Two New Higher-Spec Variants; Now Prices Go Up To Rs. 22.89 Lakh

- Mahindra has launched AX7 Luxury MT & AX7 Luxury AT + AWD variants
- New prices for the XUV700 start from Rs. 11.99 lakh to Rs. 22.89 lakh
- The bookings for the XUV700 will begin from October 7, 2021
Mahindra & Mahindra today announced the introduction of the two new higher-spec variants for its recently launched flagship SUV - the Mahindra XUV700. The company, which already offered up to 17 variants of the SUV has now added a new manual and an automatic with AWD option for the top-spec XUV700 AX7 Luxury Diesel trim. Mahindra says that the company has added these two variants mainly based on customers' demand, and while the former is priced at Rs. 19.99 lakh, the top-of-the-line AWD version is priced at Rs. 22.89 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi).

Now the Luxury is offered with the top-end AX7 trim for a premium of Rs. 1.8 lakh. Up until now the Mahindra XUV700 AX7 Luxury trim, in case of both petrol and diesel, were only offered in automatic option. However, several customers expressed the need for a top-end diesel manual option and thus Mahindra has introduced one. Similarly, while AWD was available with the AX7 Diesel Automatic trim at an additional cost of Rs. 1.3 Lakh, there was no option to get both the Luxury and ADW packs together with the diesel automatic option. With the addition AX7 Luxury - AT + AWD variant, customers have that option as well.

The new Mahindra XUV700 will be offered in two main trim options MX and AX, the latter comes in three variants - AX3, AX5 and AX7
The new Mahindra XUV700 will be offered in two main trim options MX and AX, and the former is only offered with a manual transmission, priced at Rs. 11.99 lakh for the petrol and Rs. 12.49 lakh for the diesel. As for the AX series, it includes three variants - AX3, AX5 and AX7. All three get petrol and diesel engine options, and both are offered in manual and automatic transmission choices. While the petrol models are priced between Rs. 13.99 lakh and Rs. 20.99 lakh, the diesel versions are priced from Rs. 14.59 to Rs. 22.89 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). We must mention that all these prices will be applicable for the first 25000 bookings only.

Mahindra is offering the new XUV700 with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version gets a 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged petrol engine that is tuned to make 197 bhp and develops a peak torque of 380 Nm. The engine comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox. The diesel variants get a 2.2-litre, four-cylinder mHawk oil burner that is offered in 3 states of tune. In the base MX variant, it is tuned to churn out 153 bhp and 360 Nm and gets a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. In the AX variants, it offers 182 bhp, and while the one with the 6-speed manual develops a peak torque of 420 Nm, the one with a 6-speed automatic torque converter offers 450 Nm.
