Tata 45X Concept: All You Need To Know

Tata Motors has been on a roll for the past few years and with its new design language has made its mark in the automobile industry in India. The products look better, feel better and drive better than ever before and certainly the company wants to keep up this momentum in the coming years. At the Auto Expo 2018, Tata Motors showcased host of upcoming products which gave us an understanding of the direction the company is taking post the success of cars like the Tiago, Tigor and Nexon. The company introduced a new updated design language, as it likes to call, the Impact 2.0. The two examples of this design language were the H5X SUV concept and the 45X hatchback concept. Of course, we've told you everything about the former already but the latter - the 45X - to be precise will play a big role in the volumes segment. With the 45X concept, Tata Motors will enter a new segment altogether and will take on more established rivals from carmakers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and even Honda
Here's All You Need To Know About The Tata 45X Concept
- The Tata 45X concept has been built on the AMP platform which is a flexible architecture for all future cars from the company's stable.
- The AMP platform was also the same platform that was under consideration by Volkswagen during joint platform sharing talks, which have sadly now been called off.
- The AMP platform will adhere to future crash regulations and will also be equipped to handle both left hand drive and right hand drive layouts.
- The 45X concept previews the production version of a premium hatchback will be launched in India in 2019.

The Tata 45X comes with a new design language which accentuates the surfaces
- The Tata 45X will be the first car to be developed on the AMP platform
- The 45X gets the signature humanity line accentuated by dual ultra slim LED headlamps, along with a digitally inspired lower grille.
- The 45X gets surfboard mounted wing cameras and the dramatic duo tone body flanked by full led tail lamps

The cabin of the 45X sees a clutter-free design
- The 45X comes with chunky tyres too and it's a set of 235/35 Z R20s
- The 45X concept is 4253 mm long, 1850 mm wide and 1451 mm high.
- The wheelbase of the 45X stands at 2630mm which, if retained in the production model, is more than the Hyundai i20, Honda Jazz and even the Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
- The premium hatchback will also take on the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, the Hyundai i20 and the next generation Volkswagen Polo.
