Tata Ace Gold Mini Truck Launched In India; Priced At Rs. 3.75 Lakh

Tata Motors has launched the updated Ace Gold light commercial vehicle (LCV) in the country priced at Rs. 3.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), adding a new premium variant to the line-up. The Tata Ace Gold adds a new arctic white shade to the mini-truck, while offering enhanced ergonomics, safety and comfort. The new Ace Gold joins a host of offerings under the Tata Ace range and will be on sale across the company's dealerships pan India starting today. Having kick-started this segment in 2005 with the Ace, the auto giant currently commands the largest market share of 68 per cent in the mini-truck segment and has collectively sold over 2 million units.
The Tata Ace Gold carries over the same design and utilitarian interior from the standard model, while the ergonomics have been improved for the occupants. Power comes from a 702 cc DI diesel IDI engine. The Tata Ace has been appreciated for its ease of maintenance, low operating cost and higher returns in the business, which the automaker says continues to be carried over on the Ace Gold as well. The Ace range is targeted at entrepreneurs and market load operators across the country.

Speaking about the launch of the new Tata Ace Gold, Tata Motors - President, Commercial Vehicles Business Unit, Girish Wagh said, "Tata Motors has been a pioneer in creating and expanding the Small Commercial Vehicle market in India with its diverse portfolio. With a market share of 68 per cent, Tata Motors continues to be the market leader in the mini trucks segment. With over 2 million vehicles plying on the road, Tata Ace is unparalleled and enjoys a strong emotional connect with the customers."
Tata Motors sells about 15 vehicles underpinned by the Ace platform for different applications and powered by different engines. The automaker's commercial vehicle business has a wide reach across the country with over 1800 service points, and a workshop at every 62 km. The company is also offering a host of value added services for Ace Gold customers include a 24x7 breakdown assistance program - Tata Alert. There's also Tata Delight, which is a loyalty program and offers a host of benefits including free insurance, loyalty point redemption etc. Other services include Tata Zippy - for time bound repair commitment and Tata Kavach - a time bound accident repair promise.
