In a bid to lure more buyers in the festive season, TVS Motor Company has introduced the Apache RTR 180 Matte Blue Edition in the country. As the name suggests, the new version comes with a matte blue paint. Besides the new colour, there are no other cosmetic or mechanical changes made to the bike.

As mentioned above, the Apache RTR 180 Matte Blue edition receives no mechanical updates as it continues to derive its power from the same 177.4cc, single-cylinder engine that does duty on the regular model. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 17bhp and 15.5Nm of peak torque. This engine helps the vehicle touch the 60km/h mark from standstill in 4.5 seconds. Though the company hasn't officially revealed the price of the Apache Matte Blue Edition, we expect it to cost slightly higher than the regular version.

Just so you know, TVS is also working on a 200cc version of the Apache that is likely to take its design inspiration from the Draken X21 concept that had made its debut at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo. Though there is no official word about the Apache 200 launch, we expect that to happen by the early 2016.
