TVS Apache RTR 160 & RTR 180 Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs. 1.18 Lakh

TVS Motor Co has launched two new models in the Apache range, the TVS Apache RTR 160 & the TVS Apache RTR 180. The motorcycles both get extensive updates over the outgoing models, which include added power, updated design and SmartXonnect connected tech. The newly launched Apache RTR 160 & RTR 180 go on sale alongside the existing Apache RTR 160 4V and RTR 200 4V. Prices for the Apache RTR 160 start at Rs. 1.18 lakh, and go all the way up to Rs. 1.31 lakh for the RTR 180.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 & RTR 180 go on sale alongside the RTR 160 4V and the RTR 200 4V.
The TVS Apache RTR 160 & 180 receive multiple upgrades over outgoing models. On the design front, the motorcycle gets a new LED headlamp, and a new LED taillamp. The motorcycles are now also equipped with a wider rear tyre, and the engine puts out more power in both the models. The Apache RTR 160 now offers 15.8 bhp up from 15.3 bhp, but it is generated at a slightly higher 8,750 rpm. Torque is almost the same at 13.85 Nm at 7,000. As for the RTR 180, the power is up to 16.8 bhp at 9,000 rpm from 16.6 bhp, and torque again is unchanged at 15.5 Nm at 7,000 rpm.
The RTR 160 & RTR 180 get new LED headlamp and LED tail lamp units.
Adding to the list of features is TVS SmartXonnect bluetooth connectivity, which offers turn by turn navigation. The new instrument cluster also has a gear position indicator and a gearshift indicator. Bookings for the RTR 160 & RTR 180 are now open, and the bikes go up against the likes of Bajaj Pulsar N160, and Hero Xtreme 160R.
