All-Electric Tata Ace EV Light Commercial Vehicle Spotted Testing During TVC Shoot

- The Tata Ace EV will be the first electric mini truck from Tata Motors
- Globally Tata had introduced an Ace EV in Europe
- The Tata Ace EV is likely to make its debut in April 2022
Tata Motors has been at the forefront of things when it comes to electric vehicles, not just in the passenger vehicle space, but also in the commercial vehicle segment. Now the company is planning to launch an EV in the light commercial vehicle (LCV) space as well, and its first model for India is expected to be the Tata Ace EV. The electric version of the mini-truck was recently spotted during a television commercial shoot, bearing the 'Ace EV' lettering on its cargo box.
Tata Motors, which recently revealed its new electric coupe SUV concept, Curvv, has said that it will be making two more announcements later this month, on April 20, and April 28, 2022. Considering that the Ace was spotted during a TVC shoot suggests that it could be officially revealed on one of the two aforementioned dates.

Right now, Tata offers the Ace mini truck in three fuel types - petrol, CNG, and diesel
Now, this is not the first time the company has produced an EV version of the Tata Ace. Earlier, the company had introduced a Lead Acetate battery-powered Ace in Europe, which was developed by the company's European Technical Centre, however, it never came to India. Right now, it's unclear whether the India-spec Ace EV will get the same Lead Acetate battery pack, or the company might go for a Lithium-Ion set-up.
