TVS Motor Company has signed up for a long term association with GP3 Series driver Arjun Maini and will be supporting the 18-year old racer in his future races. The young Indian recently created history by securing a podium finish in the GP3 race in Budapest, Hungary. The race also happened to be Arjun's second race ever in the series after making his debut at Silverstone earlier this month. He is also the first Indian to grab a podium in GP3, since the Series began in 2010.

Commenting on the association Arjun Maini said, "I am happy and delighted to partner with TVS Motor Company. This association reflects the growing attention that motorsports is receiving in India. I have had a good start to the GP3 season and the support from TVS will encourage me to do better. TVS Racing, with its rich racing heritage, has been working towards cultivating interest and enthusiasm for motorsports in the country. TVS Racing has been a pioneer and the first factory racing team in India. I look forward to exciting times ahead."

Having started his motorsport career with karting in 2006, Arjun Maini first tasted success winning his first race in September 2007, and went on to become the MRF MAII Rotax Mini Max National Champion later that year. 2013 saw the young driver begin his career in car racing with a successful stint in the Asia Cup Series and JK Racing India Series. The Jenzer Motorsport driver finished as a runner up in the BRDC Formula 4 championship in 2014. Later the same year, Maini won the Asian Super 6 Series, the WSK Euro and the Master Karting in KF category. With a positive start, Arjun Maini certainly is one of the promising faces in Indian motorsport out there.

Speaking on the collaboration, Aniruddha Haldar, Vice President (Marketing), TVS Motor Company said. "We are supporting Arjun, who we believe will be a star an international motorsports. GP3 is the beginning and we are happy to be associated with him for the long haul. We expect to leverage this association across the TVS Motors footprint in over 50 countries."

TVS Motor has been active in motorsport for over two decades now and also owns a two-wheeler factory racing team. The company has already been active in two-wheeler racing on-track as well as off it, and also holds the credit for becoming the Indian manufacturer to represent India in the gruelling Dakar rally. in association with Sherco rally team. The bike maker officially announced Aravind KP as part of the Sherco-TVS Rally Factory Team at Dakar 2017.
