Kawasaki Z900 Gets A New Colour Option In India For 2022

- The 2022 Kawasaki Z900 gets the Candy Lime Green Type 3 colour
- There are no mechanical changes to the Kawasaki Z900
- The bike sports a 946 cc in line four-cylinder motor with 123 bhp, 98 Nm
India Kawasaki Motor has introduced a new colour option for the Z900 streetfighter in the country. The new Candy Lime Green Type 3 colour joins the existing Metallic Spark Black shade that was available on the Kawasaki Z900 and is available at the same price of Rs. 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The new colour arrives just days after Kawasaki India announced a price hike across select motorcycles in its range for the new year. The list includes the Z900 that has received a price hike of Rs. 8,000 for the MY2022 version. Barring the new colour option, there are no other changes on the motorcycle.

The 2022 Kawasaki Z900 continues with the same styling and cycle parts. The model gets a sharp design that the company calls 'Sugomi' styling and brings a sporty stance to the naked motorcycle. The bike gets twin LED headlamps, a sculpted fuel tank, split seats, and an exposed frame, all of which make the Z900 a highly likeable motorcycle. The bike also sports a 4.3-inch TFT instrument console that comes with Bluetooth connectivity.

In terms of power, the Kawasaki Z900 uses the 948 cc, in line four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that develops 123.6 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 98.6 Nm of peak torque available at 7,700 rpm. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and gets a 17-litre fuel tank with a kerb weight of 212 kg. The Z900 is also equipped with electronic aids and comes with three riding modes - Sport, Rain and Road. There's also KTRC (Kawasaki Traction Control), dual-channel ABS, power modes - Low and Full, and Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres.

The bike uses 41 mm USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, while braking performance comes from dual semi-floating 300 mm petal discs up front and a single 250 mm disc at the rear. The Z900 competes with the Ducati Monster, Triumph Street Triple RS, BMW F 900 R, and the likes.
