TVS Apache RTR 165 RP Trademarked; Sportier, Racier Version Expected

- TVS files trademark for RTR 165 RP, and TVS RP Race Performance
- Race Performance is expected to be a sub-brand of the Apache series
- More power, better kit, and sportier performance expected from RP series
TVS Motor Company has trademarked a new name which will be introduced in production form as the new TVS Apache RTR 165 RP, with RP standing for Race Performance. Only recently, TVS introduced the TVS Apache RR 310 Built to Order with performance kits, and the Race Performance variant is expected to be a new performance-based sub-brand of the Apache series motorcycles from TVS. Going by the 165 moniker, the new RP variant may get a minor bump in engine displacement, and also get more performance than the standard TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.

The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is currently the most powerful motorcycle in its class. With a displacement bump, and new features on the RP variant, the new bike is expected to be even more performance-oriented.
So far, there's no clarity on what the updates will be on the TVS Apache RTR 165 RP, but going by the name, a slightly bigger engine is imminent, as is more performance. Also expected are riding modes, which are already offered on the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, and even on the TVS NTorq 125. With TVS Motor Company's Built to Order vertical announced with the new TVS Apache RR 310, we won't be surprised if TVS introduces adjustable front forks on the new Apache RTR 165 RP.
