- The Red Dot Design Awards are one of the most prestigious global awards
For the seventh year in a row, Yamaha has won the coveted Red Dot design award for two scooters -the TMax 530 DX and XMax 300 models. The two scooters have bagged the prestigious design award under the Product Design category. This achievement marks the third design award received by the TMax 530 DX and the XMax 300, which had also won the Good Design Award 2017 and the iF Design Award 2018. The TMax 530 DX, which pioneered the sports commuter scooter segment in 2001, offers daily commuting and fun riding on weekends. As a deluxe model, comfort is further bolstered with equipment such as cruise control and an electronically-adjustable screen.

2018 Yamaha XMax 300
The XMax 300 is the successor to the XMax 250 which has enjoyed popularity in Europe for many years due to its fun ride and sporty styling, along with its combination of comfort and practical functionality for city travel and commuting. The XMax 300 is positioned in the middle of the sports commuter MAX series. Among the other two wheeler winners at this year's Red Dot Awards are the electric scooter Niu U1 and the electric motorcycle Chongqing Light Bee.
The Red Dot Design Awards, organised by Germany's Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, are widely recognised as one of the most prestigious design awards in the world. Products with designs of outstanding quality are selected each year in the three categories of Product Design, Communication Design, and Design Concept. The Red Dot Awards will be officially presented on July 9, 2018 at the Opera House in Essen.
