- The TVS Apache RR 310 BTO is priced at Rs. 2.59 lakh (ex-showroom)
- The performance and race kits cost extra over the ex-showroom price
- Only 100 BTO units to be delivered each month
The 2021 TVS Apache RR 310 was launched in India a few months ago. It is priced at Rs. 2.59 lakh (ex-showroom), for the base variant. The Apache RR 310 was launched by TVS in late 2017 and since then, TVS has given its flagship motorcycle constant updates over the last 3-4 years. This time around, TVS has introduced a new, industry-first, factory built-to-order (BTO) system, where customers can specify their RR 310 as per their needs and requirements via the TVS ARIVE app or the online configurator. The BTO also allows the customers to track the journey of their bikes in real-time and finally get it delivered from their nearest TVS dealership. TVS will offer only 100 customised units per month, although, it said it will offer 150 units for the first couple of months.

With more advanced equipment on offer, the TVS Apache RR 310 BTO just pushes the envelope of a race-ready machine further, making it feel more premium than ever, and ready to race, straight from the factory!
TVS offers two customisation kits with the 2021 Apache RR 310 - Dynamic and Race kits. The dynamic kit consists of fully adjustable front fork, full adjustable rear monoshock and an anti-rust brass-coated drive chain. The front fork gets 20-step compression damping and 20-step rebound damping and 15 mm of pre-load adjustment. Similarly, the rear monoshock gets 20-step rebound damping and 10-step preload adjustment. Similarly, the race kit includes a new handlebar which is lowered by 8 degrees and tucked inwards by 5 degrees. It offers a more aggressive, tucked-in riding posture. The footpegs too have been raised by 30 mm and offer increased clearance of up to 4.5 degrees. They are knurled as well, offering better grip for the riders.

The TVS Apache RR 310 will go beyond 150 kmph when prodded. But more than pure performance, it's the combination of performance and superb dynamics which makes it so appealing.
Standard feature upgrades to the 2021 Apache RR 310 include a new muffler with revised geometry, which means that motorcycle now gets higher lean angles and offers a racier exhaust note. Similarly, the vertically stacked instrument cluster now gets a 'digi-doc' feature which allows the rider to store important documents like driving licence, insurance papers, registration booklet etc. on the console itself and on the app. The console also gets a dynamic rev indicator, day trip meter and over-speed indication as well. The motorcycle also gets new colour scheme, new graphics, inspired by TVS' One Make Championship race bike and the customer will have options to choose the colour of the alloy wheels as well. The overall design stays the same as before.

The overall design looks the same, but the custom TVS Racing livery adds a sense of sportier appeal. New optional red alloys also add that extra dash of colour and sportiness.
The 313 cc engine on the Apache RR 310 continues to make 34 bhp at 9,700 rpm and 27.3 Nm at 7,700 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox, with race-tuned slipper clutch. The motorcycle also gets features such as Bluetooth connectivity, ride-by-wire and four riding modes - Urban, Track, Sport and Rain.
Pros

- Affordable track motorcycle option. Good way to learn track riding
- New colours, racing scheme, newly added features
Cons
- Dynamic and Race kits cost extra money over the ex-showroom price
- Only 100 orders per month to be fulfilled, so deliveries may be delayed
