Tokyo Motor Show 2017: Yamaha Brings A Quirky Pick-Up

- Yamaha's concept car is called the Cross Hub and it's a pick-up
- The rear cargo bed is big enough to accommodate two bikes
- There's no word about putting it into production as of now
Yamaha had said at the very beginning that it will bring a new concept car at the 2017 Tokyo Motor Show. What we didn't know that it would be a pick-up truck and well, here it is. It's called the Cross Hub and while the exterior styling might be a little hard to digest, it does seem to be a show car which explores the idea of a four-wheeled utilitarian vehicle and this comes from a company who is known for their bikes. The rear cargo bed is big enough to accommodate two bikes.

Yamaha Cross Hub Concept gets a very busy design
The Yamaha Cross Hub gets a raised suspension setup and that shows off that it can do a bit of off-road. We put that much faith into it because the engineers at Yamaha have given it chunky Falken tyres and of course the decent ground clearance helps. The Cross Hub is 4490 mm long, 1960 mm wide and 1750 mm tall and that's basically all the information with regards to technical specifications that Yamaha has provided.

Yamaha Cross Hub Concept's deck can fit up to two motorcycles
The cabin is quite spacious and seats four adults thanks to the diamond-shaped seating arrangement. There's no word about putting it into production, and that does not surprise us at all considering the other concepts that we've seen from the company have not seen the light of production, but we wait to find out more from Yamaha
