TVS Registers 3 Per Cent Hike In Sales In October 2017
- TVS registered total two-wheeler sales of over 3.08 lakh units in October
- Motorcycle sales grew by 3.2% while scooter sales saw a hike of 15.7%
- Exports increased by 29.3% with over 45,000 units shipped
TVS Motor Company reported total sales of 3,17,411 units in October 2017, a three per cent hike over the 3,08,3690 units sold during the same month last year. The Hosur-based manufacturer registered a 1.5 per cent hike in its total two-wheeler sales last month selling 3,08,364 units as against 3,03885 units sold in October 2016. Domestic two-wheelers registered sales of 2,70,372 units this October as against 2,72,229 units sold in the same month in 2016.
On the other hand, TVS Motor's scooter sales grew by 15.7 per cent at 1,06,910 units, against 92,417 units sold last year. Motorcycle sales stood at 1,25,409 units, a growth of 3.2 per cent over the 1,21,550 units sold in October 2016.
TVS also announced that its three-wheeler sales increased by 88.3 per cent to 9047 units in October this year, as against 4805 units sold during the same period last year.
With respect to exports, TVS Motor Company shipped 45,437 units in October 2017, a growth of 29.3 per cent over 35,134 units shipped during October last year.
