Maruti Suzuki Recalls Over 30,000 Units Of Grand Vitara Over Faulty Fuel Gauge

- 39,506 units affected by recall
- Faulty fuel gauge could display incorrect fuel level
- Part to be inspected and replaced free of cost
Maruti Suzuki has issued a recall for over 39,000 units of the Grand Vitara manufactured between December 2024 and April 2025. The carmaker says that the affected vehicles are suspected of having a faulty fuel level indicator and warning light. A total of 39,506 units are affected.

Maruti says that the faulty fuel level indicator in the instrument cluster could lead to the vehicle displaying an incorrect level of fuel to the driver. While the fault is unlikely to have major safety implications, it could lead to scenarios of vehicles having less fuel than indicated in the instrument cluster.
Maruti says that its dealers and service centres will reach out to all owners of the SUV affected by the recall for a complimentary part inspection and replacement.
