Honda Launches Activa 3G for Rs 48,852; Will Bring In 15 New Models in 2015

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), which had earlier announced its plans to launch a mix of 10 refreshed and all new products in 2015, today unleashed a new business blitz for the financial year 2015 - 16. Instead of 10, the company will now bring-in 15 new models in 2015.
Mr Keita Muramatsu, President & CEO, HMSI spoke about Honda's plans for India - a crucial market - and said, "With India contribution reaching 25% of global Honda motorcycle sales this year; India is and will remain Honda's priority market globally. However, I consider 50 lakh units to be the turning point of Honda in India. In FY 2015-16, Honda is taking the next leap of business expansion. We will be bigger with new manufacturing capabilities and aggressively growing network in the hinterlands, better at customer satisfaction and bolder with our introduction of ever highest 15 new models in just one year."
Here's a list of what lies ahead:
a. 15 new models in 2015
Though last year, HMSI announced its plans to launch 10 models in 2015, they decided to add 5 more to the list. The onslaught, which includes 7 all-new models and 8 cosmetic upgrades, started with the launch of the new Honda CB Unicorn 160 in January, 2015. Today the company ticked off the Honda Activa 3G off its '2015 launch' list.
b. Honda Activa 3G
The company today launched the new Activa 3G with a price tag of Rs 48, 852 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Replete with new styling elements, the latest avatar of the Honda's automatic scooter now gets a myriad of new updates including side panels, winkers, front stance, and tail-light. The scooter also offers comfortable sitting position, ample foot space, and a longer and wider seat for the rider's comfort and convenience.
Whereas the combined braking system (CBS), full metal body, and tubeless tyres work on ensuring reliability. The Activa 3G is powered by a 110cc engine with Honda Eco Technology that promises a mileage of 60Km/l.
HMSI is offering the Activa 3G scooter in 5 colour options, namely, Trance Blue Metallic, Lusty Red Metallic, Geny Grey Metallic, Black, and Pearl Amazing White.
c. Honda CB Shine
Next up in the line is India's largest selling 125cc bike - the Honda CB Shine, which is also the largest selling Honda motorcycle in the world. The CB Shine's new styling and design elements include stylish graphics, side panels, visor, tail-light, fuel tank and alloy wheels.

To be available in the market from March, 2015, the updated CB Shine will also be powered by Honda Eco Technology (HET) and will get the combined braking system for enhanced safety. Other than that, it will be available in four colours: Black, Geny Grey Metallic, Maple Brown Metallic, and Imperial Red Metallic.
d. Refreshed 2015 Editions of Dream Yuga, Dream Neo and Dio
- Dream Yuga's refreshed look will include new stickers and graphics on the front cowl, side panel and fuel tank. It will come in 3 colours: Black, Black with Heavy Grey Metallic, and Black with Candy Glory Red. The dispatches for the Dream Yuga 2015 will begin from the end of this month.

- Much like the Yuga, Dream Neo will also get new graphics on the tank and side cowl, stickers on side panel, and the premium red Honda logo. Additionally, it will get a new lockable side cowl. The Dream Neo 2015 will be available in Black with Violet Stripes, and Black with Red Stripes. The dispatches for this one will also commence by the end of February, 2015.

- The Honda Dio will also sport new stickers, side panel graphics and a sporty logo. It will come with new dual-tone colours options: Jazzy Blue Metallic, Sports Red, Candy Palm Green and Black. HMSI will initiate dispatches for the Honda Dio 2015 by the end of March, 2015.
