BS 3 Vehicles: TVS Offering Discounts On Apache, Jupiter

- TVS is offering cash benefits on Apache, Victor, and Jupiter
- It is offering a Rs. 10,000 discount on the Apache RTR 200 4V
- Rs. 10,000 discount also available on the Jupiter
BS 3 vehicles are experiencing an increased demand in India with the deadline to switch over to BS IV on the horizon. Earlier this week, the Supreme Court upheld the deadline to cease the sale and registration of BS III vehicles in India from 1st April 2017. Backed by the Centre, auto manufacturers had requested for leniency in the matter considering the industry had a cumulative unsold stock of nearly 8 lakh BS III vehicles. Despite the argument that the companies believed the April deadline was to stop manufacture of BS 3 vehicles and not their sale, the apex court upheld the deadline for the transition. The decision resulted in auto companies offering a myriad of discounts on cars and bikes in an effort to clear out their stock of BS III vehicles.

From cash discounts of nearly Rs. 3 lakh on superbikes, to Honda Navi being offered for free with the Honda CBR250R and CBR150R, the options are many. TVS is also offering the following cash benefits on the Apache bikes and the Jupiter scooter:
- Several TVS dealers told carandbike that discounts of Rs. 10,000 are available on the Apache RTR 200 4V, while the Apache 160 and the Victor get Rs. 5,000 off.
- The TVS Jupiter, one of the company's top-selling vehicles, is being offered with a discount of Rs. 10,000.
