Toyota Glanza Gets Six Airbags As Standard; Prestige Edition Package Introduced

Toyota Kirloskar Motors has updated the safety kit of the Glanza by offering six airbags as standard across all variants of the hatchback. Previously, it was available only on the higher-spec G trim and above, and now all four trim levels feature it. Aside from this, the rebadged version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno also gets a new ‘Prestige Edition Package’, which introduces a slew of official accessories.

The Prestige Edition Package includes dealer-fitted accessories, including door visors, side moulding with chrome and black accents, lamp garnish, chrome garnishes for ORVMs and fenders, rear skid plate, illuminated door sills, and lower grille garnish. Toyota states that its package will be available for the Glanza until the end of July 2025. 
 

The Glanza is offered in a total of four trim levels – E, S, G and V – and with a choice of petrol or bi-fuel CNG engine options. Both variants use the familiar 1.2-litre petrol engine shared with its sister model, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, with the petrol hatchback offered with both manual and AMT gearbox options.

Prices for the Glanza currently start at Rs 6.90 lakh and go up to Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). It is also offered in CNG guise with two variants priced at Rs 8.69 lakh and Rs 9.72 lakh (ex-showroom). The Glanza in the Indian market goes up against the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and other offerings in the segment.  
 
Since the rebadged version now features six airbags across all variants, it's likely that Maruti will introduce the same update to the Baleno, which currently offers six airbags only in its higher-spec trims.
