Highlights

As pre-season testing got underway at the Bahrain Grand Prix circuit, all eyes were on World Champion Sebastien Vettel as he pulled out of the pit lane to get a feel of the track. After a miserable first outing at pre-season testing at Jerez, the Red Bull Team was looking forward to a better day at Baharain.

However, the RB10 suffered two breakdowns but the technical team worked on the car and it was only an hour and a half later that Vettel, jumped into the drivers seat to do a lap again.  But, just four corners into his lap, Vettel stopped and the car was taken back to the pit lane. Another attempt to send Vettel out proved unfruitful as the car broke down in the pit lane itself and RBR decided to call it a day. But the team managed to get in 77 laps on day 4 of testing and so can breath a little. Daniel Ricardo too was able to put in 66 laps in his car on day 1 but there are still many problems to deal with

But Red Bull is clearly facing a problem with the RB 10 and there were reports of Vettel throwing a fit over the recurring stalling of the car. Red Bull, however, denied this and said that there are different problems in the car and the team is getting it fixed and ready for action. The RB 10 managed to put in only 21laps in four days at the pre-season testing at Jerez because even there, they faced a host of problems.

With just over 20 days to go for the first race of the 2014 season at Melbourne, Red Bull has a huge task at hand. It certainly looks like Red Bull Racing team is still not on top of things as they try to battle with a car designed at par with the biggest of rule changes in the generation.

While there are reports of the problem being Renault’s new turbo hybrid engine, there are no concrete answers yet from the Team principal Christian Horner. The Red Bull Racing Team has just a few weeks to address the issues and we hope they get sorted out before Vettel begins his campaign to defend his World Championship title.
