Aston Martin Vantage S Breaks Cover With 680bhp And Chassis Upgrades

Highlights
- 0-100kmph time of just 3.3 seconds
- Most hardcore Vantage with 680bhp and 800Nm
- Deliveries in fourth quarter of 2025
Aston Martin has pulled the wraps off the new Vantage S. With the suffix, it has become sharper, more focused and is set to make its dynamic debut at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Taking cues from the DBX S, this is the most hardcore version of the smallest coupe the British marque makes and will be seen for the first time in public charging up the hill climb in the coming weeks.

At the heart of it lies a reworked 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, which now makes 680bhp and 800Nm making it the most powerful Vantage ever. With a 0–100kmph time of just 3.3 seconds, it has shaved off a colossal ‘0.1’ seconds of the previous go-fast version of the Vantage. Top speed remains unchanged at a blistering 303kmph.

And more importantly, the S isn’t just about straight-line speed. Extensive tweaks have been done to the chassis, damping, and throttle calibration to promise sharper turn-in, greater agility, and a more connected drive. There’s a new throttle pedal calibration for added feel and precision, claims the carmaker. There’s a 10% reduction in transmission mount stiffness brings in additional refinement by controlling the powertrain movement to the body and chassis.

In terms of appearance, the Vantage S gets its own identity with a new bonnet blade, a full-width rear spoiler that adds 111kg of downforce, discreet ‘S’ badging, and unique 21-inch wheels. Meanwhile, the interior ups the ante with Alcantara-leather trim, satin carbon fibre accents, and a bespoke anodised drive mode selector available in red or silver.

First deliveries are expected by the fourth quarter of 2025, with the Vantage S being available in both Coupe and Roadster body styles.
