Showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, Fiat India has introduced the Linea 125 S in the country priced at Rs. 7.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Based on the standard Linea, the 125 S variant as the name suggests has power upgraded to 125ps (123bhp), making it the most powerful petrol car in the C-segment sedan space, beating the Hyundai Verna. In addition, Fiat has also introduced new features on the Linea, Punto Evo and Avventura, with the former now available in the 90bhp (93ps) guise across all variants.

Power on the Fiat Linea 125 S continues to come from the same 1.4-litre T-jet petrol engine that powers the standard Linea petrol, but has been given a 11hp boost. In addition, the cabin now gets a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Map my India navigation, Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity as well as rear view camera capability. The Linea is further upgraded with ambient lighting, rear disc brakes and dual stage driver airbags.

Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, Fiat Chrysler Automotive India said, “Fiat cars are known for their performance and by adding more horsepower to our model range we are only living up to our brand promise ‘Crafted for Car Lovers’. Besides that we do make great-looking cars.”

Furthermore, Fiat India has also updated the Punto Evo and Avventura lineup that are now badged as 'PowerTech' and is available across all three trims - Active, Dynamic and Emotion. Apart from the branding, the PowerTech moniker has introduced the 90bhp iteration of the 1.3-litre diesel engine being used both models across all variants. Both the Punto Evo and Avventura also get the 5-inch infotainment system as standard from the Linea 125 S. The new Fiat PowerTech series starts at Rs. 6.81 lakh for the Punto Evo, while the Avventura is priced at Rs. 7.87 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom New Delhi).
