Volkswagen India has launched a special service value package for the new Taigun subcompact SUV, which starts at Rs. 21,999 for a period of 4 years.

Volkswagen India has entered the compact SUV segment with the launch of the all-new Taigun. The SUV is priced from Rs. 10.50 lakh, going up to Rs. 17.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). While the prices are quite competitive, the company simultaneously launched a very lucrative 'Service Value Package' for the Taigun, which starts at Rs. 21,999, for 4 years. The new VW Taigun is offered with two turbocharged petrol engines - a 1.0-litre TSI and a 1.5-litre TSI. Both come with a 6-speed manual, along with an optional 6-speed torque converter for the 1.0 TSI and a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission for the 1.5 TSI.

The service package for both - the Taigun 1.5-litre manual and 1.5-litre automatic is priced at Rs. 23,999

For the Volkswagen Taigun 1.0-litre manual version, the Service Value Package is priced at Rs. 21,999, while for the 1.0-litre automatic option, it starts at Rs. 27,999. At the same time, the service package for both - the Taigun 1.5-litre manual and 1.5-litre automatic is priced at Rs. 23,999. Announcing the package, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said, "A Volkswagen only needs a service once a year or 15,000 km. This means that you can now maintain your Taigun at a little over Rs. 5000 a year."

The Volkswagen Taigun, like all Volkswagen models, will come with the company's 4EVER Care package, which includes a standard 4-years/ 100,000 km warranty, which can be extended up to 7 years for Rs. 11,999. The 4EVER Care package also includes 4-years road-side assistance (RSA) extendable up to 10 years and 3-free services. With all this, Volkswagen claims that the cost of ownership for the Taigun will be as low as 37 paise per kilometre for the 1.0-litre models and 40 paise per kilometre for the 1.5-litre models.
