JSW MG Motor India has opened the first MG Select dealership in India. For the unversed, MG Select is the company’s new line of dealerships for its premium offerings in India. With the first one situated in Thane, Maharashtra, MG has stated that it will soon open 13 other dealerships across the nation. MG will initially start selling the M9 MPV and Cyberster here, although this lineup will soon be expanded to include a range of other premium offerings which will also include plug-in-hybrid vehicles.

MG is now all set to launch the M9 MPV in India soon, which will be the first product to be retailed via the dealer network. This will be followed by the two-door Cyberster, which will also soon go on sale. Despite pre-bookings being open for a considerable amount of time, MG is yet to confirm when the prices for the two products will be announced. The company has revealed specifications.

The MG M9 is powered by a 90 kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery that powers an electric motor mounted on the front axle. The power output for the EV is 245 bhp and 350 Nm. MG claims a range of 500 km for the EV. The Cyberster, on the other hand, is expected to be offered with two electric motors (one on each axle) that produce a combined 528 bhp and 725 Nm of torque. It has a claimed 0-100 kmph acceleration time of 3.2 seconds. The car is equipped with a 77 kWh battery pack that delivers a maximum range of 580 km on a single charge.
