Land Rover has revealed the Defender 110 Trophy Edition. Set to be showcased at the Goodwood Festival of speed, this edition of the SUV pays tribute to yesteryear’s Camel Trophy Editions from Land Rover. The company has also launched the Defender Trophy, a competition which will take place in Africa, in collaboration with Tusk. The new model gets a range of off-road focused elements, and can also be specced with an array of optional accessories. The model is priced from £89,810 (the equivalent of Rs 1.04 crore) in the UK.

Visually, the Defender 110 Trophy Edition can be had in either one of two colours- Deep Sandglow Yellow or Keswick Green, with black finishing on the bonnet, lower bodyside, and brake calipers. Other bits include gloss Black 20‑inch alloy wheels with rugged all‑terrain tyres, a dark rear scuff plate, in addition to ‘trophy’ badging and Ebony Windsor leather seats. The vehicle can also be fitted with optional accessories such as a roof rack, roof ladder, front and rear mudflaps, and a raised air intake (snorkel).

The special edition model can be had with two engine options
The Defender 110 Trophy Edition can be had with two powertrain options. A 3.0-litre 6-cylinder twin-turbocharged diesel engine (355 bhp) and a plug-in-hybrid powertrain which comprises a 2.0 litre 4-cylinder turbocharged engine making a combined 305 bhp. The diesel can do the 0 to 100 kmph sprint in 6.1 seconds, while the plug-in-hybrid can do the same run in 7.4 seconds.
Land Rover currently retails the Defender in India, with the SUV having become largely successful in the market. The 90, 110 and 130 variants of the Defender are available here, with engine options including 2.0-litre turbo petrol, 3.0-litre diesel, 5.0-litre petrol V8 and a 4.4-litre turbo petrol V8. Land Rover also retails the special edition Octa variant here priced at Rs 2.59 crore and Rs 2.79 crore for the Edition One variant.
