Yamaha Launches 2022 Monster Energy Moto GP Editions of the R15M, MT 15 & RayZR 125
Yamaha has also announced a Moto GP Edition for the Aerox 155 though prices for it will be announced later.

Yamaha has launched the 2022 Monster Energy Moto GP Editions for the R15M, MT 15 V2.0 and the RayZR 125 Hybrid in India. Available in limited numbers, the Moto GP editions get Yamaha’s race-derived livery and will be available only via Yamaha’s Blue Square outlets. The company also announced the Moto GP edition of the Aerox 155 though prices for it will be announced at a later date.

The R15M Moto GP Edition is priced at Rs 1.91 lakh, with the MT 15 V2.0 Moto GP Edition priced at 1.65 lakh. The Ray ZR 125 Fi Hybrid Moto GP edition meanwhile, is priced at Rs 87,330.

Commenting on the launch, Eishin Chihana , Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group of companies said, “Yamaha is known for its strong racing DNA in international motorsports. This year our performance in MotoGP has been exceptional with Fabio Quartararo maintaining his lead in rider standings. This also portrays Yamaha’s unmatched engineering and technological prowess.”

RayZR 125 Moto GP Edition only available on the Disc brake variant

The R15M Moto GP edition comes in at about a Rs 2,000 premium over the standard motorcycle with the changes from the regular bike being only the blue and black Monster Energy livery. The pricing also puts it at a marginal premium to the R15M World GP 60th Edition which is priced at Rs 1.90 lakh.

Yamaha to announce prices for Aerox Moto GP Edition at a later date.

The Moto GP edition for the MT 15 meanwhile is about Rs 1,000-2,000 more expensive than the standard model – depending on colour – and too is limited to just cosmetic updates. The Ray ZR 125 Moto GP edition meanwhile is only available with the disc brake variant and also costs a Rs 1,000-2,000 premium over the standard model. Yamaha has made no feature or mechanical updates to the models over the standard variants.

A similar premium in pricing can be expected for the Aerox 155 Moto GP Edition.
