Suzuki Ignis Compact Crossover Debuts at 2015 Tokyo Motor Show

The compact-crossover, which was first introduced to the world as the Suzuki iM4 concept, will be the Japanese carmaker's first product in the segment.

Suzuki Ignis finally made its debut at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show today. The compact-crossover, which was first introduced to the world as the Suzuki iM4 concept, will be the Japanese carmaker's first product in the segment. Though the company hasn't revealed much about the car, it says the Suzuki Ignis offers "high eye point and plenty of ground clearance ensure day to day convenience". With that being said, reports claim the Suzuki Ignis houses a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol unit with Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki (SHVS) technology under the hood and is mated to a CVT (continuously variable transmission) gearbox. Furthermore, the compact-crossover also gets the option of a 4WD layout while a FWD layout will be standard.
