Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe Revealed in C Class Cabriolet Teaser

Highlights
Mercedes-Benz has been teasing the C Class Cabriolet ahead of its global debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March. However, in one of the teasers, which is a kind of Mercedes-Benz C Class 'family portrait', the German luxury carmaker has also revealed the Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe.
The C43 Coupe will also be unveiled next month at the Geneva Motor Show and is a less powerful version of the range-topping C63 Coupe.
The Mercedes-AMG C43 Coupe would have normally been called Mercedes C450 AMG Sport Coupe, but Daimler decided recently to integrate AMG Sport models in the Mercedes-AMG family. This means the already available C450 AMG Sport Sedan will soon make the switch to the C43 moniker.

Like the sedan, the coupe version will also be equipped with a bi-turbo 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine delivering 357bhp of power and 520Nm of torque. The C43 Coupe will come with a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system linked to a 7-speed automatic transmission, which does duty on the sedan as well.
Later this year, the C Class Cabriolet will get its own C43 version and will be followed by the V8-powered C63, which would be the flagship model.
