3. The updated Tigor EV comes with Tata Motors' Ziptron EV powertrain technology, offering better performance and a claimed range of 306 km.

Cons

1. While the Tigor EV claims to offer a range of 306 km, in real-world usage, the car is likely to offer a range of less than 210 km. Less if you constantly drive in sport mode.

2. The steering is a bit too light, and we wish it offered better feedback.

3. Despite its 4-star safety rating, it's disappointing that Tata is only offering a lap belt for the rear middle passenger. You do not get ESC (Electronic Stability Control) as well.

4. While a public DC fast charger can top-up the battery from 0 to 80 per cent in less than 1 hour, the regular AC home charger will take more than 8.5 hours to achieve the same. So, keep that in mind.

5. While there is a greater push for EVs, charging infrastructure is still far from adequate in India. So, the Tigor EV might not be suited for long-distance travelling, unless you do proper planning.
