The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is expected to come with vibrant colour options while retaining the hardware from the Himalayan

Compared to the Himalayan, the Royal Enfield Scram 411 will get a smaller 19-inch front wheel as opposed to a 21-inch unit. It will continue to be a spoked unit though. The bike will also ride on dual-purpose tyres. The styling remains identical to the Himalayan ADV but there's substantially less bodywork. The jerry can holders and the tall windscreen have been done away with, while the spy images show more funky dual-tone colour options that lend a more vibrant vibe to the motorcycle.

Other upgrades will include a revised instrument console with the Tripped navigation pod, a cast metal-finished headlamp cowl, split seats and revised side panels. There's also the aluminium sump guard and urban badge plate. The ground clearance has been lowered to 200 mm from 220 mm on the Himalayan.

Mechanically, the RE Scram 411 will use the same 411 cc single-cylinder engine that powers the Himalayan. The motor develops 24.3 bhp and 32 Nm of peak torque, while paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The bike will also carry over the suspension and braking hardware but it needs to be seen if the company will shorten the suspension travel on the Scram 411. Moreover, the bike is expected to be marginally lighter than the Himalayan. Prices for the new RE Scram 411 are likely to start from under Rs. 2 lakh, undercutting the Himalayan. The launch will take place either by the end of this month or sometime in March this year.
