2018 Kawasaki ZX-10RR Revealed

Kawasaki has revealed the 2018 model of the ZX-10RR, mainly to the appearance of the bike with two minor colour changes. The changes are on the lower part of the front forks, as well as the top of the front fork. No other changes have been made to the bike with the mechanicals and engine remaining the same. According to a Kawasaki release, the reservoir canisters behind the lower part of the front fork legs have been changed from red to silver, while at the top of the fork leg, the fork top cap is now green on the 2018 Kawasaki ZX-10RR where it was earlier red in colour.
Kawasaki Motors Europe Director Morihiro Ikoma said: "In the hands of our KRT riders, Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes, the Ninja ZX-10RR has achieved Superpole wins, fastest laps, race wins and, ultimately, the 2017 World SBK title in its first year of production. For motorcycle racing teams, track day enthusiasts and committed road riders, the 2018 Ninja ZX-10RR represents a great performance package and perfect base for racing success".
The Kawasaki ZX-10RR is powered by a 998 cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, in-line three engine, making 197 bhp at 13,000 rpm and 113.5 Nm of peak torque available at 11,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a cassette type 6-speed transmission with quickshifter. The ZX-10RR is based on the standard Kawasaki ZX-10R, with more focussed track-spec riding experience. The RR's engine gets a few upgrades including carbon-coated tappets, a stronger crankcase, high-lift cams and a modified cylinder head. In India, the ZX-10RR is priced at Rs. 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and was launched earlier this year.
