Highlights

We Indians want the best and won't settle for anything less. From our clothes to our cars, we want things that are stylish, reliable and hold their worth in the long run. We love getting more value for every rupee and who understands this better than Maruti Suzuki. The country's largest carmaker has been driving India for nearly four decades now and hence they understand what customers want and need. From being the first to introduce factory fitted range of CNG cars to the mass market to introducing smart-hybrid technology on its cars today, the automaker has always been ahead of the curve.

It is because of this continuous investment in technology that Maruti Suzuki has been able to set new benchmarks in vehicle performance bringing ease of driving, supreme reliability and most importantly, impressive fuel efficiency figures. In fact, India's top four most efficient petrol cars are Maruti Suzuki's. From the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Baleno, Swift AMT to the ever-dependable Alto 800, there's something for everyone.

Fuel Efficiency always a key priority

Achieving high fuel efficiency has always been a key priority for car buyers in India and Maruti Suzuki understands this. The company has been closely working with the parent Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan to make products that are not only efficient and high on performance but environmentally safe as well.

Achieving reliability and efficiency with new technologies

A major role in Maruti Suzuki's success in providing fuel-efficient cars has been the introduction of new technologies. Be it the K-Series engines, S-CNG, Smart Hybrid technology, or be it the HEARTECT platform, the automaker has always been ahead in bringing the best of global innovation to its customers. The adoption of these technologies helped Maruti Suzuki record a 30 per cent improvement in fuel efficiency across its product range in the last decade. And do remember, all of these technologies have been delivered to you at affordable prices.

It is currently offered in four variants - K10B, K12M, K15B and the new Dualjet Dual VVT petrol engine. The powertrain has evolved with times bringing technologies like the Idle Start-Stop system and more to achieve better fuel economy.

So just how much of a difference does this make? Well, the combination helps you register a fuel efficiency figure of 23.26 kmpl on the Dzire manual, and 24.12 kmpl on the Dzire AGS (Auto Gear Shift). And that makes it the most fuel-efficient car in India. And let's not forget, the low cost of ownership that the engine brings along with it.

The company's S-CNG technology offers a fantastic blend of performance, safety and convenience. With a Dual ECU intelligent injection system, the motor is optimized to perform on the CNG, making it extremely friendly on the pocket. The S-CNG technology is offered right from the Alto 800, to the Celerio, WagonR, S-Presso, Ertigo, Eeco and on the automaker's complete commercial range. The Smart Hybrid equipped powertrain powers cars right from the Maruti Suzuki Baleno to the Ciaz and S-Cross

For the longest time, hybrid technology remained aloof from the masses. But Maruti Suzuki believes in practical and real-world solutions that are available and affordable for all. This is why the progressive Smart Hybrid technology was introduced way back in 2015 with the Ciaz. The dual battery set-up with a lithium-ion battery offers torque assist, Idle Start-Stop and brake energy regeneration that not only improves your driving performance but also reduces fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions.

The Smart Hybrid technology has made its way in several Maruti Suzuki cars right from the Baleno to the Ciaz, Ertiga, Vitara Brezza, S-Cross and the XL6. And maximizing returns with the technology is the Baleno Smart Hybrid that delivers a class-leading fuel efficiency figure of 23.87 kmpl.

The new HEARTECT platform has been a game-changer for Maruti Suzuki underpinning the brand's newest offerings. Rigid in construction, the chassis uses high tensile strength steel that makes for a smooth aerodynamic design and offers better impact absorption in case of a collision. All this results in superior handling and improved fuel efficiency.
