Mahindra Cars and Commercial Vehicles' Prices Increased

Highlights
Mahindra & Mahindra, the country's leading SUV maker, today announced that it has increased prices of its passenger and commercial vehicles by an average of 1% in the Indian market. The revision in prices will make the vehicles costlier by Rs 2,300 to Rs 11,500 (ex-showroom) depending upon the model. The new prices come into effect immediately.
Commenting on the price hike Pravin Shah, Chief Executive, Automotive Division & International Operations (AFS), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, "We have been holding back on price hikes for a while but now it has been necessitated to partly offset the impact of rising input costs."
Since the rising input cost is a problem for all automakers, we might soon see others also increasing prices of their cars.
