If you are a big fan of MotoGP, then you probably wouldn't want to let go of a chance to meet the two-time World Champion Jorge Lorenzo. Yamaha is giving existing as well as new owners of the new YZF-R3 an opportunity to meet the legend himself. If you already own the bike, then you can register on their website or if you buy the latest R3 motorcycle in India before November 10, 2015, you'll be able to ride alongside Lorenzo at the Buddh International Circuit. Also Read: Yamaha YZF-R3 Review A total of 30 customers will get a chance to ride with Lorenzo and the winners will be selected by way of a lucky draw after which Yamaha will send them an official invite. Yamaha will also bear the travel & accommodation charges for these select customers. Yamaha launched the R3 in August this year at Rs. 3.25 lakh. The vehicle derives its power from a 320cc, twin-cylinder engine which is basically a bored out version of the R25's engine. Mated to a 6-speed transmission, this engine churns out a maximum power output of 41bhp at 10,750rpm and 29.5Nm at 9,000rpm. But its closest rival - the KTM RC390's engine churns out more power (43bhp) despite being a single-cylinder unit. The motorcycle takes about 2.89 seconds to hit the 60km/h mark from stand still, and 6 seconds to reach 100km/h. The bike offers a top-speed of 187km/h.
