Bajaj Auto has updated the Dominar range for the 2025 model year. Now priced at Rs 2.39 lakh (Dominar 400) and Rs 1.92 lakh (Dominar 250, all prices, ex-showroom), the motorcycle range now gets a host of new features, in line with other bikes in Bajaj’s portfolio to bring them up-to-date. However, in what may disappoint many, the motorcycles still have the same design and continue to feature the same mechanical underpinnings and powertrain as before.

The Dominar range retains the same mechanical underpinnings and engines as before

The most obvious change on the motorcycles is the new digital instrument cluster, which appears to be the same unit offered on the Pulsar NS400Z. The new unit comes with turn-by-turn navigation and call and SMS alerts. Additionally, the Dominar 400 now also gets ride-by-wire and now comes with four ride modes – Road, Sport, Rain and Off-Road, while the more affordable Dominar 250 comes with four ABS modes. Another change is a redesigned handlebar, which while yet to be tested, would likely result in a more relaxed riding posture.

The 2025 Bajaj Dominar 400 continues to be powered by the liquid-cooled 373.3 cc single-cylinder engine. The same engine also powers the Bajaj NS400Z. The engine churns out nearly 39 bhp at 8,800 rpm and 35 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The Dominar 250, meanwhile, comes with a 248.8 cc single-cylinder unit which makes 26.6 bhp and 23.5 Nm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox, aided by a slipper clutch.
