New 1.2 Litre Diesel Engine Introduced With The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10

As already mentioned, the new 1.2 litre motor replaces the current 1.1 litre motor on the model that was always cited as a little underpowered when compared to the 1.3 litre diesel motor that the Maruti Suzuki Swift gets or the 1.5-litre engine powering the Ford Figo. With the Ignis also sporting the 1.3 litre diesel and posing as close competition, the bigger motor gives the Grand i10 the boost it needed. Petrol power, on the other hand, remains unchanged with the tried and tested 1.2 litre motor making its way under the hood.

Other upgrades on the Hyundai Grand i10 facelift include a revised front with a newer grille, LED daytime running lights and even a revised cabin with a new 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with voice and climate control.

While there are many new features in the car, Hyundai has managed to undercut the price of the new one by quite a margin compared to the old one and that's what will make it competitive.
