Hero MotoCorp Clocks Record Sales In October; Sells Over 6 Lakh Bikes

It has been a record breaking festive season for Hero MotoCorp as the Indian two wheeler maker registered over 6 lakh sales for the third consecutive month. The company dispatched a total of 6,63,153 units in October, after retailing 6,16,424 units in August and 6,74,961 units in September this year.
Hero recorded double digit growth this festive season and had crossed over a million units by the auspicious day of Dhanteras. The company also announced that with the festive season heading towards completion, Hero's dealer inventories have come back to normal levels.
2016 has been particularly positive for Hero MotoCorp as the company sold over 6 lakh two wheeler in five months throughout the calendar year. In fact, the company recorded its best ever performance in a quarter during the July-September 2016 period, having retailed 18,23,498 units. A healthy growth of 15.8 per cent when compared to the same quarter in 2015.
A good monsoon aiding resurgent demand for two wheelers in rural areas has contributed to Hero's positive sales this festive season. The bike maker also had two launches this year including the new Splendor iSmart 110 and the Achiever 150. The Maestro Edge continues to be a popular seller for Hero ever since its launch last year.
