Ask the Expert
Should I buy a CNG car instead of petrol to save fuel costs even if my daily usage isn’t high?
While the cost of CNG is lower than that of petrol, do remember that most CNG models on sale today bear a premium of close to Rs 1 lakh over the equivalent petrol model, so recovering the extra cost paid will take much longer if your daily usage is limited.

I want an affordable diesel car, but my options are severely limited. What should I look at?
If price is a constraint and a diesel engine is a must because of high daily usage, you could look at the Tata Altroz diesel, which, at a starting price of Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom), is now the most affordable diesel car in India.
